BeeWise is operated by Goose Entertainment. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive the following information from your Google account:

• Your display name
• Your email address
• Your profile photo URL

We also store the following game data in our database (Firebase Firestore), associated with your account:

• Completion records — puzzle IDs, solve times, hints used, and assist settings for puzzles you complete
• In-progress game state — your current grid, pencil marks, and timer for any puzzle you are actively solving, to enable cross-device sync

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the BeeWise gameplay experience:

• To save your best times and completion history
• To sync your in-progress game across your devices
• To display your streaks and statistics

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (Firebase / Google Cloud, which hosts our database).

3. Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to collect aggregate, anonymized page-view data (no cookies, no cross-site tracking). This does not identify individual users.

We also collect anonymous puzzle completion data (solve times, difficulty, puzzle size, and assist usage) to understand how puzzles are played. This data is associated with a randomly generated device identifier stored in your browser’s local storage — it is not linked to your identity, IP address, or Google account. You can clear this identifier at any time by clearing your browser data.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. If you stop using the service, your data remains until you request deletion.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing gabriel@gooselive.ca. We will delete your account data from Firestore within 30 days of receiving your request.

You can also sign out at any time from within the game. Signing out removes your session but does not delete stored data.

6. Children

BeeWise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address above.
